Whispers and Echoes – A Journal of Small Things (Issue 2)

If you enjoy writing short pieces of fiction and poetry, then please consider submitting something to issue 2 of Whispers and Echoes, an online journal dedicated to short writing.  There is no theme, and the only limits are on length: 100 words for fiction and 10 lines for poetry.  When the issue is released it will be available to read for free via Wattpad and here on the website.

Dreaming Spirit Press is an non-paying market but contributors will receive a PDF copy of the journal in which their work appears.

Deadline: 15 September 2017 (or earlier, if the issue fills up; if it does accepted submissions will be automatically placed in the next issue)

Love Letters to Gaia – Letters and Poems dedicated to the earth

Loves Letters to Gaia is to be the first in the Love Letters anthology series.   For this collection we are only accepting poems and letters – no short stories please (fictional letters and prose poems are fine though).  The scope for themes and subjects we are after is wide; think nature conservation, folklore, paganism and everything in between.  More details can be found on the anthology’s page (see link below).

Ghosts and Ghastly Things – An Anthology of Spooky Tales

For this anthology we are only accepting short stories, in the range of 2,000-6,000 words.  We want spooky tales of ghosts, witches, devils and demons, things seen and unseen.

Winter Wishes (Winter Anthology 2017)

What do the words “Winter Wishes” mean to you?  That is what we want to know for this anthology.  We are looking for stories and poems that reflect our anthology’s title, ones that utilise both concepts of ‘winter’ and ‘wishes’, but how you interpret them is up to you.

Summer Spells (Summer Anthology 2017) – Now available to read here

“Summer Spells” is the title of our second seasonal anthology.  We are hoping to include stories and poems that capture the essence of the season, whilst at the same time, reflecting the title of the anthology.  The question is, what does the title mean to you?  You are free to interpret it in any way you like, as long as you stick to the guidelines…
